Fast Food
In big city life you do not always have your kitchen at hand and always eating in a restaurant might be too expensive all together. And as a big city never sleeps you will find shops that never close, the convenience stores. They sell meals that are suitable for lunch or dinner. Japanese food often is a collection of smaller dishes. Rice, vegetables, shrimps, chicken, minced meat, omelette and even a spoon of spaghetti. Anyway delicious, more convenient than take-away-Chinese and much better than throw-away-pizza.
It can be eaten cold, although hot is tastier. On the microwave at home we even have a special button conveny. But as in a big city you also don’t have your microwave on you all the time, the convenience store always offers you to use the company microwave. So it is fair to say it is a convenience store.
