Long weekend again. Cueing for the shinkansen.
Shinkansen, the bullet train, is very spacious. Five seats wide and lots of leg room.
The vilaage of Takayama, the Yoshiyama Ryokan. It is much colder here than in Tokyo. Below 20 C in the day ;-)
In the hall of the Ryokan (Japanese style inn) you change your shoes for slippers.
Harold watching televisione. On the news the first item is the autumn colours and where to find them in the country.

The arrival of autumn is celebrated with processions and sake offering to the temple.
The best icecream by far: made of green tea.
Sunday night, back to the big city by shinkansen.
