Frankly speaking, there was no sign stating it was prohibited...
Bicycle parking is quite an enterprise. Luckily this was only a warning and not a ticket. Ticketing is possible here as bicycles are registered here. (See an earlier posting).
But then, where to leave it? "Comme l'habitude locale" is always a safe method.
But then all djitensha (bicycles) are parked exactly where it is clearly prohibited!
